Lazar Markovic is close to agreeing a season-long loan move from Liverpool to Turkish side Fenerbahce. But boss Brendan Rodgers is adamant the Serbia winger DOES still has a future at Anfield. Markovic, 21, failed to impress last season following his £20million switch from Portuguese giants Benfica.

Lazar Markovic is to join Fenerbahce on a season-long loan from Liverpool in search of the regular first-team football that has eluded him at Anfield. Liverpool have agreed terms with the Turkish club over the Serbia international’s move and the 21-year-old is close to finalising the move to Istanbul.
